Prompt Number 11: The Saddest Moment

did i tell you guys that Terish is ugly (when i draw her) and I can't draw tears?

well i think you may have DEDUCED by now... that tablet art is not at my anatomical best.

so, story behind this sketch is:

Terish gives up everything in order to get home to her family and friends, to see her parents and sisters again, and to find a way to save her enslaved tribe mates... but learns everything she's done has been only to find out hald her tribe was slaughtered and only a few who aren't are enslaved are left, and among the dead are half her siblings, her father, her aunt, (who happens to be the Village Leader) and several friends...

and to add to her pain, her sisters tell her that out of grief and madness, their mother hung herself.

and there aren't enough of them to successfully try and rescue the others.

so her sacrifice had been for nothing, and she is now an orphan.

ummm... melodrama music cue now! oh well. life perks up for her later... just not right now!

her face doesn't show the intense agony she's in like i would have liked... but well... i guess if all that bad stuff suddenly came on you in a wave you'd actually look blank because you would be in too much pain to react...

and if you were to try and mourn all the things that have just happened you'd end up having a break down, so its probably best to take it one thing at a time... starting with crying for mommy
